International Computerware, Inc (ICI) once again demonstrated to their peers, EMC Executives and EMC Panel Judges that ICI is the "best" EMC Solutions Partner in the Northeast. EMC put forth business cases to teams to whiteboard and present the best and most effective solution. Once the criteria was outlined the teams had 20 minutes to put together their proposals, choose a presenter and then wait to be selected to present.

Team ICI, led by VP of Sales Jack Kaiser, EMC Top Gun Winner, Kevin Loughlin and ICI's EMC BURA Account Manager, Ali Bliss came out of the gates with an upbeat, informative and dead on presentation. As the second team to be selected out of a hat Team ICI took to the microphone and chose a true team approach by "co-presenting" rather than trying to select the best speaker and most technical speaker as most others did, ICI proved once again that the strong team atmosphere and team approach, help our customers realize the true value of Team ICI as a valued EMC Partner.

The solution that Team ICI outlined was to use all of the EMC resources available, as an ASN Partner, to drive a value proposition as well as the correct technical solution. The solution was a combination of using EMC's Global Finance organization to buyback the customers current HP SAN. We consolidated data and servers by using a combination of VMware Server Virtualization ESX VI3, EMC NS20 Universal Storage, to address file server CIFS consolidation, iSCSI for VM's and replication for DR as well as native fibre channel ports for high I/O database applications. We chose to archive to 750 GB SATA II drives withing the EMC NS20 use Replication Manager for automation of Snap/Clones and a combination of 146GB and 300GB drives for VM's and other mission critical applications.

After all the other teams presented and some were attempting to mimick ICI's proposal however they fell short, the panel of judges from EMC Awarded Team ICI with the best overall presentation and solution. "We are extremely proud of Team ICI but at the same time not surprised at all with the outcome. Ali, Kevin and Jack are tops in their field and continue to have a customer sense, focused on value, functionality and process", state Jamie Shepard - Vice President of Technology Solutions for ICI.
